From beautiful waterfowls to majestic raptors, these wetlands weave a narrative of seasonal migration, providing a crucial sanctuary for birds undertaking journeys.
But it extends beyond avians, amidst the wetlands ecosystem, mammals, reptiles,  arthropods & aquatic organisms coexist. These wetlands offer refuge and sustenance for many species that call this environment home.
However, the very essence of these coastal wetlands is under threat due to multiple human activities, rapidly diminishing their expanse.
Still, though challenges persist in safeguarding the precious wetlands along the East Coast of southern India, there are pockets of resilience where humans and wildlife coexist. Despite the increase in human activities, there are stories of humans and the biodiversity adapting to coexist with each other, showcasing the potential for a sustainable future. Could these areas be a potential example of human-wildlife coexistence?
